Dead Sea

After touring Masada, we floated in the Dead Sea, soaked in the hot sulphur baths and played in the special black mud.

  9. Chase, The Dead Sea starts at about 1292 feet below sea level and is about 1300 feet deep at the deepest point making it the lowest point on earth.

Katelyn, We were only at the Dead Sea about 2 hours. We went to Masada and a couple of other places that same day.

Cali, The mud is supposed to make your skin feel soft and smooth. It has tiny pieces of sand in it and smells kind of bad. It is also oily. It took about 3 baths to get it all off. It did make our skin feel good.

Jake, what a great question! This trip has made us all feel like we understand the Bible and Jesus' life and ministry so much more. It makes us feel like we know Him better. We can hear the birds and smell the flowers and see the mountains and hills. We can touch the stones and even taste the fish (ha-ha!) and we can better imagine what it must have been like for Jesus.
